Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer

Cupcakes of HOPE is a Non-Profit Company (NPC 2012/103028/08) and our aim is to raise awareness and funds for families in need of medical assistance, we do this through our love of baking cupcakes...

We have several events during the year but our main event is hosting South Africa's National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer in September. This is an entirely community-driven project and an amazing event that brings the whole community together for an awesome cause! As September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we distribute leaflets with the Early Cancer Warning Signs.

Rainbows & Smiles

The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child (or children) of that family is diagnosed with cancer. Rainbows and Smiles encourage childhood cancer advocacy and GOLD RIBBON AWARENESS to educate people, in the hope of promoting early detection. Our principles include creating hope, smiles and relief for families and caregivers of children with cancer.

DragonFly Foundation

We provide support to young patients, siblings/offspring and parents/caregivers – as well as direct support to social workers, Child Life representatives, and hospital staff that care for patients while they are in the hospital. The support comes in the form of Caring, Community and Awareness that results in better Emotional health (C.A.R.E.).

The Dragonfly Foundation provides distractions from the emotional, physical, and financial toll of cancer and bone marrow transplants, as well as the post-traumatic stress associated with the trauma of diagnosis, treatment and recovery. We also work to establish connections and community at a time when patients, siblings, and caregivers feel the most alone and isolated.
